Students of SCBA won GOLD and SILVER medals at World Ballet Competition 2008

Emily Slawski
Introductory Category (10-11 years old)
GOLD MEDAL
ORLANDO SENTINEL
Diane Hubbard Burns |Sentinel Dance Critic
"...In the Introductory category (10-11 year olds) was the entrance of the blossoming Emily Siavski (USA, Gold medalist) a revolution. Her perfect presentation of one of the most difficult variations in the ballet repertoire, the “Grand Pas Classique” and as Kitri from the ballet Don Quixote entranced everyone as in a dream. As a clone of the “Prima Ballerina Assoluta” with her absolutely perfect legwork, flawless pirouettes and a glowing appearance, she was the embodiment. You have to ask yourself, with such natural talent in less than ten years, might we assume she will have achieved world wide fame by age twenty. What kind of a star will she become?.."
