Outreach & Education

SCB remains dedicated to developing a local dance community. The community of Brevard mutually benefits from the continued development of relationships with such educational venues as BCC, where Boris has taught dance classes for two years, and FIT, where SCB dancers volunteered their services for the fundraiser for the Science of Art and Design building. The venerable Brevard Symphony Orchestra plays for all SCB main stage productions at the King Center, and this close relationship allows for better communication with Brevard County School Board, and the art community in general. 

SCB students, who train at the Space Coast Ballet Academy have volunteered their time for free concerts at area schools. SCB intends to build upon this concept by expanding the outreach program to nursing homes, community centers and retirement homes and adding a Q & A after each concert if the audience wishes.
