CHILDREN NEEDED TO PRESENT FLOWERS AT NUTCRACKER

Clara and the Nutcracker Prince (as well as some of the other dancers) will personally receive a bouquet from a girl or boy on stage after the Nutcracker performances

at the King Center on December 6 and 7, 2008.

Space Coast Ballet is offering children 6-12 a chance to join the entire cast on stage, meet the star dancers, and present them with a beautiful bouquet as the audience applauds.   It is a rare, exciting opportunity they will always remember.
Young SCB Academy dancers would love to apply but they are ineligible. When asked if she would like the job, Tonya Pattison, 8 years old, said, “It would be exciting and very special to be on stage with Clara.” Lori Bollhoefer, 10 years old, chimed in, “It would be nice to give Clara flowers because I would love to be Clara one day.”

Breezy Jones, 9, who won the privilege last year, said, “I loved it!  You meet the characters, and I met the Prince.  You also get to dress up and walk on stage to hand out flowers.  I now dance with Space Coast Ballet!”

Deadline for applications is November 15th.  For further information or an application form please call the studio at 321-253-0544

GOLD MEDAL

“… and several gave notable performances, especially big-dancing little Emily Slawski, gold medalist in the introductory category..”

ORLANDO SENTINEL

Diane Hubbard Burns |Sentinel Dance Critic

"...In the Introductory category (10-11 year olds) was the entrance of the blossoming Emily Siavski (USA, Gold medalist) a revolution. Her perfect presentation of one of the most difficult variations in the ballet repertoire, the “Grand Pas Classique” and as Kitri from the ballet Don Quixote entranced everyone as in a dream. As a clone of the “Prima Ballerina Assoluta” with her absolutely perfect legwork, flawless pirouettes and a glowing appearance, she was the embodiment. You have to ask yourself, with such natural talent in less than ten years, might we assume she will have achieved world wide fame by age twenty. What kind of a star will she become?.."
