Classes
SCBA classes are traditionally smaller so that students can benefit from individual attention. Ballet classes are taught in the classical Vaganova method, and in three Divisions that encompass all age levels. Each student is placed in the class and level most appropriate for his/her development.

Le Petit Division (Elementary to Pre-Professional)
PRIMARY (3-4 years old): Provides students with a wide range of dance training that includes pre-ballet
PRIMARY I (5-6 years old) & PRIMARY II (7-8 years old): Students are introduced to barre and the basic movements of classical ballet (for Primary II a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week is required).
Pre-Professional Division - is by invitation only.
LEVEL I (ages 8-9): Intensity of study increases. Exercises lengthen and more complicated movements are introduced. Students whose technique and body are strong enough begin pointe work.
LEVEL II (ages 10-13) – a minimum of 3 Ballet classes per week is required prior to going on Pointe
LEVEL III (ages 14 and Up): - a minimum of 5 Ballet classes per week is required. Pointe : Individual ability evaluated during class
Adult Open Division
For mature individuals of all levels, beginner to advanced. Class cards are offered for ease in scheduling, and discounts are available for multiple class cards.
- Ballet: Stay fit & limber with this informal & relaxed class.
Class Dress Code:
Please take note of the following color coded leotard dress requirements for each ballet class. Pink tights accompany all leotards:
